The electric motor in the Audi A1 e-tron, for example, achieves a continuous power of 45 kW (61 hp), with a peak power of 75 kW (102 hp) briefly available. A pulse-controlled inverter transforms the DC to AC voltage as required by the electric motor. The DC charging stations have various output arrangements.
