Honda de Mexico, S.A. The new transmission plant, Honda’s third in North America, will produce continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) for automobiles built in Mexico, where further market growth is expected, as well as for other Honda auto plants in North America and globally.

Honda de Mexico, S.A. In addition to supporting HDM auto production, the plant will provide transmissions to Honda auto plants outside Mexico. Honda will employ approximately 4,700 associates in Celaya when the auto, engine and transmission plants are in full operation.

In its latest Global Auto Report , Scotiabank forecasts record global car sales in 2015, with the total market advancing 4% over 2014, reaching more than 74 million units. Global growth will mainly be driven by China, where Scotiabank expects auto demand to grow 7% in 2015 to 19.36 2015 forecast share by region.
