They wanted to see whether an electric vehicle could feed electricity back to the grid. The company’s president, Tom Gage , dubbed the system “vehicle to grid” or V2G. And EV owners would become entrepreneurs, selling electricity back to the grid. And indeed, that’s how promoters of vehicle-to-grid technology perceive the EV.

Posted by: CurtCurt | Apr 13, 2009 9:24:33 PM By the time they get these (or other plug-in hybrids) out into consumers hands, Tesla will be doing as well or better with pure EV tech, and by 2012 may even be making a tiny profit, instead of a huge loss, even though there production numbers are much smaller. Many others are not so careful.
