But the new rules could make it virtually impossible for current Prius owners to transform their cars into super-efficient vehicles that get up to 150 mpg. mpg on what was mostly a freeway excursion.

Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up. There is significant cause vs. effect debate on CO2. The transportation market is in the process of getting fragmented beyond all recognition. We have oil! A few warts there too however.
