Similarly, in China, the sheer size of the auto industry and the country’s ambitious clean-energy goals suggest a potentially huge market for electric cars. Investors, too, are excited.

France’s auto industry is probably the largest Western auto industry that goes completely under the radar in the US. In South America BYD seems the only E-bus act in town. Claim to fame: Peugeot-Citroen jumps into the fray — but Zoe takes the cake. Domestic market not shabby either. I have no idea.
