At the recent Paris Motor Show, Faurecia showed the Amminex solution for commercial vehicles, as well as an ASDS system in a new format for passenger cars. In increasing its participation to 91.5%, Faurecia expects to intensify the development of this technology for both commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Amminex is introducing BlueFit: a hardware retrofit solution aimed at lowering NO x emissions on older diesel cars to meet and surpass the latest Euro 6 standard. The ASDS is installed in the spare wheel well and the SCR catalyst is fitted to the exhaust pipe under the car. liter engine (Euro 5) was retrofitted with BlueFit.

SAIC Mobility Europe, a division of China’s largest vehicle manufacturer, SAIC, is introducing the Maxus light commercial vehicle brand. The two EV80 variants feature a competitive level of standard specification, including (depending on variant) rear parking sensors, air conditioning, and heated electrically adjustable side mirrors.

BASF will introduce its innovative LNT+CS4F emissions control system for diesel engines at the International Vienna Motor Symposium, 8-9 May 2014 in Vienna, Austria. Euro 6c is the full Euro 6 emissions standard, ie. Euro 6b plus the particle number standard for PIDI (direct injection positive ignition) vehicles.

Volvo Penta has developed an electric driveline for leading fire service vehicle manufacturer Rosenbauer’s pioneering fire truck, named “Revolutionary Technology” (RT). The truck was officially launched at an event in Austria. As a result, the RT achieves operating times above the specifications of EN 1846.
