Three EV industry collaborators—Mer Germany, Hubject, and Driivz—will demonstrate ISO 15118-based Plug&Charge technology at the Intercharge Network Conference ( ICNC23 ) in Berlin later this month. Demonstrating Plug&Charge to ICNC23 attendees shows that the vision of seamless charging for all EV drivers is now a reality.

The new Panamera plug-in hybrid models were launched on the European market in June 2017. The Panamera plug-in hybrids (Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive) have a purely electric range of up to 50 kilometers (31 miles). Using fast charging, it will be possible to charge its battery by 80% in just 15 minutes. “

Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. Further Porsche Charging Lounges are currently planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The platform now has more than 49,000 charging points in twelve countries. A new feature offered by the Porsche Charging Service is a rating function.

BMW eDrive Zones are now available in various BMW plug-in hybrid models. In addition, the BMW Points loyalty program will be introduced later in the year, with which drivers of BMW plug-in hybrid models will be rewarded with attractive premiums via a point system. Switching to the purely electric driving mode is automatic.
