Personally, I think it’s the latter. Add to this the environmental benefits, lower maintenance requirements and charging convenience, and it’s hard to see why anyone would want to cling on to more dated propulsion technologies. Well, only if your commute is more than 175 miles each way. But are these concerns warranted?
