Posted by: Bob F | Apr 13, 2009 9:42:47 PM Despite factual errors and oversights in this article, you still make an excellent point. 80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail. Going from 12MPG to 15.8MPG saves more gas than going from 50MPG to 500MPG.
