For the 2018 model year, the Mazda CX-5 version sold in the US will offer cylinder-deactivation technology, safety, and refinement updates at all trim levels. Mazda CX-5’s SKYACTIV-G 2.5 Mazda is the only automaker to equip a four-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation in North America.

This past week in Santa Barbara, Mazda invited the automotive media to drive the CX-50 on the highway, twisty mountain roads and then off-road to experience soft sand, steep climbs and descents. Mazda adds another SUV. All Mazda SUVs will now come only with all-wheel drive (AWD).
