Honda hybrid sales dropped 6% year-on-year to 1,898 units. Sales of the Civic Hybrid plunged 92.5% General Motors dealers in the United States delivered 155,679 light duty vehicles in September, down 45% year-on-year. A total of 1,011 GM hybrid vehicles were delivered in the month, down 48.3% General Motors.

Overall, GM dealers in the US delivered 208,511 vehicles in December—a total sales decline of 6% from the previous year, driven primarily by declines in fleet sales (-33%) and in sales of non-core brands (-55%). For the year, GM hybrid sales increased 30% from the year before to 16,142 units. of all Altima sales.

Dealer retail was down 35%, compared to industry retail, which was down 30%. versus the same month in 2008.
