I like to get drive impressions from my wife for some of the cars I review. This is saying something, as she has ridden in or driven many of the 800+ cars I have reviewed for Clean Fleet Report over the past 10 years. Genesis began as a stand-alone company in 2015 and is just now hitting its stride with a line-up of sedans and SUVs that get rave reviews. If fuel economy is a pacing item, then getting 32 mpg with the smaller displacement probably is worth foregoing the performance benefits of the larger engine. Our review of the not-so-much-smaller 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid returned stellar fuel economy topping 50 miles per gallon. Plenty of stopping power.
This is sad, but completely unwarranted as some of the best vehicles Clean Fleet Report reviews are sedans—and the 2022 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited is one of those.
