The mild hybrid system consists of a 48-volt electrical system that allows the engine to shut off when not needed, increasing fuel economy. Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV): 2.5-liter liter non-turbocharged inline-4 mated to a 100 kilowatt (kW) electric motor.
