California-based Propel Fuels has launched Diesel HPR (High Performance Renewable) at its retail stations. Neste Oil’s NEXBTL renewable diesel and is available at 18 locations across Northern California in Sacramento, San Jose, East Bay, Redwood City and Fresno. The fuel does not contain any traditional biodiesel.

This is impressive as there are only 55 operating hydrogen fuel stations in the state and the availability of hydrogen is sometimes spotty. Exclusively available in California, Toyota sold 2,737 Mirais in 2023.
