The US Department of Energy (DOE) is [link] about $11 million to 20 new projects to help states and local governments to develop the infrastructure, training, and regional planning needed to help meet the demand for alternative fuel cars and trucks, including vehicles that run on natural gas, electricity, and propane.

Today, Norway is the front-runner when it comes to LNG-fueled ships. Hybrid systems will reduce energy consumption.
