Not everyones convinced there’s a market for them all, but that doesn’t seem to have dulled enthusiasm. litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors, providing about 100km of EV range as well as the ability to travel further on petrol. Around 2025 there’s also a full battery electric version due.

No Sherlocking’s required to know it’ll morph into a production version of Genesis’ new flagship all-electric SUV, likely to arrive in 2025 to sit above the GV70 EV and combustion-only GV80. An American green technology company has developed a hybrid Hummer capable of over 100mpg. Raser Technologies, the company behind the hybrid hummer, claims to have achieved the impossible by greening up one of the cars with the worse environmental record. The Hummer H3E is a plug-in electric vehicle with an onboard range extender.
