Harley-Davidson Launches Stand-Alone Electric Bike Brand. Harley-Davidson, the legendary and revered American manufacturer of motorcycles, announced that it is establishing LiveWire as a separate electric motorcycle brand on July 8,2021, just in time for the first of nine outdoor International Motorcycle Shows. Not an H or D in sight.

There is more to Dan Neil's recent LA Times column than a favorable review of yet another gasoline-only hybrid. In December, Nissan announced its "Green Program 2010," projecting a line of hybrids, plug-in hybrids and all-electric cars utilizing lithium-ion batteries of its own manufacture. Toyota had a different take.

The Saturn version of the two-mode plug-in hybrid at the Milford Proving Grounds. The Cadillac Converj extended-range electric vehicle Concept uses the Voltec platform. As part of the culling, GM has the option to re-badge vehicles from the non-core brands, such as the Pontiac G8, Opel Insignia and Saturn Vue.

The Volt is the plug-in hybrid car GM showed at last January’s Detroit Auto Show. The Volt , provided GM can get the lithium battery right , will go about 40 miles on an electric charge. You plug it in , and continue working. The Volt will even make people forget that it was Lutz who gave us the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky.

Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. We'll also be taking Burning Man art projects off petroleum generators by switching them to solar electricity. Google Guys Th!nk
