The city of Brighton UK) plans to install 20 Elektrobay roadside charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) over the coming year. Brighton-based Elektromotive developed and manufacturers the innovative Elektrobay charging station, and will be responsible for the implementation of the project.

Elektromotive will complete the installation of its 100th Elektrobay charging station in London by the end of next month. UK-based Elektromotive introduced EBConnect—a tool for monitoring and invoicing electricity drawn from vehicle charging stations—at EVS 24. Renault and Netherlands-based Athlon Car Lease International will cooperate in the joint delivery of Electric Vehicle (EV)-solutions to their mutual clients. According to Renault research, 80% of all Europeans currently travel less than 60 kilometers (37 miles) per day. Athlon supports Renault’s EV project.
