Porsche will manufacture the future all-electric version of the fourth-generation Cayenne at Volkswagen Slovakia’s multi-brand location in Bratislava. Prototype of the new Cayenne Porsche has already announced a further all-electric SUV above the Cayenne for the second half of the decade.

It will not only be larger than the Cayenne it will be more expensive as well. The Panamera PHEV will also gain a larger battery pack.

Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, gave a forecast of future drive system technologies. Among alternative drive systems, plug-in hybrids in particular offer great potential, Winterkorn said.
