Porsche reports that around 60% of all new Panamera models that have been delivered in Europe were equipped with a hybrid drive. The new Panamera plug-in hybrid models were launched on the European market in June 2017. In France, for example, the figure is 70%, in Austria it is more than 80% and in Belgium it is even more than 90%.

Sales of Volvo Cars´ Recharge models of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars increased by 31% in January year-on-year, accounting for 40.7% of all Volvo cars sold globally during the month. The share of fully electric cars stood at 16.2%. The increase was led by markets such as the UK, Italy and Belgium.

BMW eDrive Zones trigger an automatic shift to all-electric operating mode as soon as the vehicle enters a designated area, such as a low emission zone. BMW eDrive Zones are now available in various BMW plug-in hybrid models. BMW eDrive Zones test vehicle automatically switches into electric driving mode.

Volvo Car Group (Volvo Cars) is ramping up production of the V60 Plug-in Hybrid ( earlier post ) by 90% to meet demand, especially in Holland, Belgium and Italy.
