The results of the study were published in the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. The reasons were two-fold: (i) increased air pollution led to households staying indoors more to mitigate the pollution impact; and (ii) PM 2.5 pollution ranges between 20 and 200 ?g/m³. —Prof Salvo.
