As GM prepares for the introduction of two very upscale electric vehicles, the GMC Hummer EV and the Cadillac Lyriq, the Bolt lineup plays an important role, it faces one pesky problem.
Cadillac debuted its first EV, the Lyriq, for 2023, and its second model is due to hit the streets for 2025. Earlier this year, Cadillac promised the Optiq would start at around $54,000, and it came close to hitting that commitment. Cadillac gave a sneak peek of “the future of electric performance,” teasing its new Opulent Velocity EV concept. After regaining eligibility for the $7,500 EV taxcredit, the Chevy Blazer EV 2LT AWD starts at $42,695 (including the credit). A more affordable Blazer EV is set to debut later this year.
