Even with the new 100% tariff on electric vehicles imported from China, BYD would still have the cheapest EV in the US. According to a new report, BYD’s lowest-priced EV would still undercut all US automakers at under $25,000. However, BYD has been building its supply chain for much longer.

A new all-electric luxury SUV is set to hit the market next year to compete with Tesla’s best-selling Model Y. Volvo is joining the luxury electric SUV market with its new EX60 launching next year. The new EV will compete against premium SUVs like the Tesla Model Y , Porsche Macan EV, and Mercedes-Benz EQC.

Of the Rs 27,000 crore plus that M&M plans to invest in its automotive business in the next three years, Rs 14,000 crore will be kept for the ICE vertical – primarily for bringing out new and refreshed SUV models. Out of the nine SUVs, six will be all-new products and three will be mid-cycle enhancements.
