On paper, the 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge Twin Ultimate seems like a fine compact EV. To be fair, Android phone users may find the Google-based system a bit quicker to learn than iPhone users. Again, this amount of power available on instant demand means the car’s ability to get moving from a dead stop is impressive.

Volvo has some of the most aggressive goals when it comes to brand-wide electrification, and the new C40 Recharge is a big step in its electric charge towards zero emissions. Its official name is the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric, and it’s available as either a single motor or dual motor (the latter is called the Twin).

Such prices comfortably eclipse the $121,990 Volvo Australia currently asks for the XC90 Recharge Ultimate PHEV. The brand’s two full EVs already on sale here are the XC40 Recharge from $72,990 and C40 Recharge from $74,990. There’s no guarantees it’ll be available from launch. second 0-100km/h time.
