Acura will make an “NSX-type” electric sportscar, expecting to bring it to market in 2027 or 2028, says Acura Global Executive VP Shinji Aoyama. Then, Acura brought the NSX back in 2016, this time with a 500+hp hybrid powertrain. Acura has already shown an NSX-like concept before. It was just a “design study.”

At a press event in Tokyo to lay out his future vision and direction for the company, Honda Motor President & CEO Takahiro Hachigo said that the company will strive to make two-thirds of its overall unit sales from plug-in hybrid/hybrid vehicles and zero-emissions vehicles such as fuel cell vehicles and battery EVs by around 2030.

Honda is debuting a hydrogen semi truck concept at this year’s Advanced Clean Transportation Expo, an annual expo focusing on clean medium and heavy duty vehicles, next week in Las Vegas. And now it’s showing a full-on Class 8 semi truck concept, the heaviest vehicle on the road, powered by hydrogen.
