DOE has established 55% engine efficiency as a stretch goal for heavy duty engines with a plan to meet this goal by 2020. Area of Interest (AOI) 9: High-Efficiency, Medium and Heavy-Duty Natural Gas (Dedicated or Dual-Fuel) Engine Technologies. Applications must present a sound business case for the proposed technology.
