VW, Daimler subsidiary Daug and Varta developed a NimH battery in the early 90s, and the VW group put the Audi duo hybrid on the road in 1997. in pure electric vehicles in 2020. First is the energy capacity and the recharge time of current batteries, which now are “ simply inappropriate ” for pure electric propulsion.

Previous consumer tests with electric cars – in America and in France – haveshown that drivers’ main concern is being stranded with flat batteries. Witha 60-mile range, most felt the need to recharge after 30 miles or so. Why does everybody state Tesla as US, When this is UK engineering from Norfolk in Great Britian?
