RCL has signed a memorandum of understanding with Finland shipbuilder Meyer Turku for the new class of vessel under the project name “Icon.” Kulovaara said that additional regulatory standards would also need to be developed for the technology. The ships will join the fleet of Royal Caribbean International. —Harri Kulovaara.
