EEA reports sharp decrease in CO2 emissions of new cars in Europe in 2020

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has published its provisional data about the CO 2 emissions of newly registered passenger cars and vans in Europe in 2020. g (12%) lower than in 2019 and represented the first decrease observed since 2016. For cars, the data show a 12% decrease in average cO 2 emissions, compared with 2019.

The number of battery-electric buses ordered in Europe more than doubled in 2017 compared to 2016, reaching 1,031 vehicles, according to a new analysis by environmental NGO Transport & Environment. T&E estimates this to be equivalent to around 9% market share of new registrations in 2018.

GM outlines electrification path in China; 10 NEVs from 2016-2020, double by 2023
