Ports of Auckland (New Zealand) has signed a contract with Dutch company Damen Shipyards to buy the world’s first full-size, fully electric port tug. The purchase price of this tug is significant, at roughly double that of a diesel tug, and that is an important consideration for a business that needs to make a profit.

Last week, as part of the little known and unadvertised “Bolt Buyback” program GM quietly created in response to the recall of all their 2017- 2019 Bolts, Chevy paid $37,900 to buy this car back from us. The first Bolt displayed at the annual National Drive Electric Event in 2016 in Los Angeles. The Bolt debuts at the 2016 LA Car Show.
