BMW Manufacturing earned a 2003 Green Power Leadership Award for using landfill gas to generate a portion of the power needed to operate its Spartanburg, South Carolina manufacturing facility. For the reporting period from 1 March 2014 - 1 March 2015, GM Fort Wayne generated and used 53,260,800 kWh of green power.
