Used Priuses, especially the Generation 2 that were made from 2004 to 2009 are becoming a bargain to buy, especially for the MPG and features you get in return. The official fuel consumption is 5 l/100 km (47 mpg US) and that is bang on for us as well. l/100 km (51 mpg US) in the summer, and 5.3 l/100 km (44 mpg US) in winter.

In 240 miles driving around Southern California we averaged 23 mpg, but in a 100-mile run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, we averaged 31.2 mpg, exceeding the EPA figure. Zero-to-60 mph times were right around 5.0 Good grip from the rear.

The EPA rated the Santa Cruz’ fuel economy at 19 mpg city/27 highway/22 combined. In 226 miles of mostly freeway driving through Southern California we averaged 23.8 We did a bit better on a 120-mile freeway run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 28.1 Flash Drive: 2015 GMC Canyon.

The mpg ratings are for city/highway/combined. RWD we drove 225 miles through Southern California, averaging 24 mpg. But in a 110-mile all-freeway run with the adaptive cruise control set to 65 mph, and using Stop and Go , we achieved 29.3 Road Test: 2015 Infiniti Q50. RWD 21/31/24. AWD 20/29/23. RWD 18/27/21.

With a new design and built on a new platform, the 2023 Honda HR-V continues to be a good value with a roomy interior and 30+ mpg. Running on 87 octane, the EPA rates the HR-V AWD at 25 mpg city/30 highway/27 combined. In 323 miles driving mostly on Southern California freeways, we averaged 28.2 Your numbers may differ.

The Acura RDX has been one of the best-selling compact premium SUVs since 2006, and has sold more than 50,000 every year since 2015. Power, but not enough efficiency to hit 30 mpg. The EPA fuel economy numbers of 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined are almost exactly what we got covering 301 miles driving through Southern California.
