Led by Focus, Ford China sales up 56% in November

Ford China broke sales records for a third consecutive month in November. Led by strong sales of the Ford Focus—the best-selling passenger car in China from August through October—Ford sold 67,505 wholesale vehicles last month, a 56% increase compared to November 2011. Ford China’s year-to-date sales are now up 18%.

Mazda converting commercial engine plant to produce LDV Skyactiv Technologies components

Mazda Motor Corp. plans to convert by 2015 a plant that currently makes engine parts for commercial vehicles into a production site for parts used in fuel-efficient Skyactiv engines for light-duty vehicles. Mazda recently decided to exit the struggling commercial vehicle business.

Ford China sales up 32% in July

Ford China posted a 32% sales increase in July 2012, with 42,560 wholesale units sold. Total Ford-brand passenger cars sales—which include the imported Ford Edge—are up 50% in July, at 27,498 units. These new models are part of Ford’s plan to introduce 15 new vehicles and 20 new powertrains to China by 2015.

Ford China sales up 7% year-to-date; Mondeo sales Up 61% in November

Ford sales in China are up 7% for the first 11 month of this year. Sales for Ford-brand vehicles at Changan Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA), Ford’s passenger vehicle joint venture, are up 6% this year, to 289,870 wholesale vehicles from 274,396 last year.
