Hyundai is initially offering the Tucson Fuel Cell to customers in the Los Angeles/Orange County region for a 36-month term at $499 per month, with $2,999 down. The fuel cell vehicle currently is available at three southern California Hyundai dealers: Win Hyundai in Carson; Tustin Hyundai; and Hardin Hyundai in Anaheim.

On 11 August, GM invited approximately 75 journalists and auto analysts to spend a day learning about the new GM. It also offers better fuel economy than the M5. 4 cylinder direct-injection Ecotec engine and 6-speed automatic transmission offers class leading fuel economy while maintaining sprightly acceleration.

Although Honda’s presence at the Los Angeles Auto Show was dominated by the debut of the 2013 Civic, the company also announced that the 2014 Accord Plug-In Hybrid, featuring Honda’s new two-motor system ( earlier post ) earned an EPA-certified 115 MPGe rating and will go on sale in New York and California on 15 January with an MSRP of $39,780.

The 2013 Fit EV. Honda unveiled the all-new 2013 Fit EV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and announced plans to begin leasing the battery electric commuter vehicle in the US in the summer of 2012. Honda anticipates a combined city/highway EV range of 76 miles (122 miles) on the new Fuel Economy labels.
