In recuperation the vehicle’s energy of motion is converted to electrical energy during deceleration and stored in the drive system battery, so as to be available for subsequent acceleration.

So just use a portable electric generator in the trunk, from the hardware store to charge the batteries while you drive. run the hardware store and buy a new one. Deliveries start in 2011. Never again.
