Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? We always seem to hear that one coming from a mile away.

Reinforcing a commitment to bring to market a broad array of advanced electric vehicles across all of its brands, Chrysler has introduced five electric-drive vehicle prototypes since the fall of 2008. Thats such a pretty metallic blue; I would love to see these postal vehicles around my neighborhood. Looks sharp.

Although charging infrastructure is beginning to find its way into cities, it may be awhile until they are available in residential neighborhoods en masse. The biggest problem with recharging at home - as already alluded to in the article, is that electric cars are mostly marketed as city vehicles.
