Renewable energy technologies could generate 40% of the world’s electricity by 2050, according to research presented at the International Scientific Congress “Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges & Decisions”. Czech utility CEZ Group increased biomass electricity production to 327 gigawatts per hour (GWh) last year, up 33%.
