Green Car Congress attended the Renewable Energy Finance Forum - Wall Street (REFF-Wall Street) conference (23-24 June) sponsored by Euromoney Energy Events and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). Alternative technologies, such as hybrid and electric vehicles that use oil more efficiently or not at all, continue to advance but they take time to penetrate markets. Subsidies that encourage wasteful consumption of fossil fuels jumped to over $400 billion. The passenger vehicle fleet doubles to almost 1.7 billion in 2035.
