European Commission opens infringement procedure against Italy over insufficient action on Fiat Chrysler emission control strategies

The European Commission has launched an infringement procedure against Italy for failure to fulfil its obligations under EU vehicle type-approval legislation with regards to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) automobiles. Car manufacturers have an obligation to comply with this law and respect the ban which has been in place since 1998.
