The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed updates to its national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for harmful fine particle pollution (PM 2.5 ). EPA’s proposal would strengthen the annual health standard for PM 2.5 The current annual standard is 15 µg/m 3 , which has been in place since 1997. Source: EPA.
