FedEx Express has exceeded its original goal of a 20% improvement in global vehicle fleet fuel economy by 2020, as compared to 2005, with a more than 22% cumulative improvement in fuel economy for its vehicles. Between January 2008 and June 2009, the Alliance established 27 “zero-emission mobility partnerships” with governments, municipalities and other sectors around the world for full-scale EV diffusion. Deployment of infrastructure, including charging stations and incentives for zero-emissions vehicle purchases, are being studied.
