The computerized control puts the motorcycle on pure-electric drive at low speed, and switches to the gasoline engine at high speed while recharging the batteries. Wuxi Angell sold 50,000 and 70,000 electric bikes in 2006 and 2007 respectively. ABAT and Angell expect to go into full-scale production in April.
