FedEx boosts fleet with hybrid-electric trucks

The FedEx fleet of hybrid-electric vehicles has leapt by more than 50 per cent from 172 to 264 after the company added 92 hybrid-electric trucks to its delivery fleet by converting existing models. These standard trucks used in the retrofit programme were models from 2000 or 2001 with 300,000-500,000 miles on the clock.
