Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. I had surmised this in my 2002 car design thesis [link] even before anyone was talking about plug in series hybrids. JUST TRYING TO MILK and Suck as much from the fall of the Auto industry as possible.
